when you visit me

the papers. boring, but it's for us. check vfs before you apply.

1) for you

Core documents

  • Schengen visa application (online, then VFS with biometrics)
  • Passport (still valid after the trip, blank pages)
  • One passport photo, Schengen size
  • Travel medical insurance for the whole trip, all Schengen countries, at least €30,000

Trip and stay

  • Flight reservation or booking (in and out dates)
  • you stay with me: host invitation (see host section)

Money / who pays

  • Bank statements or proof you cover the costs
  • Denmark often uses about DKK 350 per day as a guide; it can be less if you stay at mine and i cover costs

proof you go back home

  • Job: certificate, approved leave, payslips
  • Student: enrollment, proof she continues studying
  • Other ties: family, lease or property, money in the country. This part matters a lot for yes or no
2) for me (host)
  • VU2 invitation. Danish Immigration recommends it. Online or PDF form.
  • Copy of passport ID page. If you are not Nordic, copy of your Danish residence permit too.
  • If they ask: proof you are together / that you have met in person.
  • if i pay for you: VU2 says who pays. keep payslips ready if they ask.
3) where you apply

vfs for denmark. you usually bring:

  • Application, passport, photo
  • Insurance
  • Flight booking
  • Your VU2 and copies of your ID
  • Proof of ties in the Philippines (work or studies)

when we know your dates, we make a “bring this” list.
